The Pam King HAEA Scholarship Program provides financial support for people with HAE who are entering or attending college, and seeking to improve their lives through academic achievement.
Students across the United States receive scholarships for both the Fall and Spring academic semesters to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Awards are determined based on academic achievement and financial need
• All students with an HAE diagnosis are encouraged to apply
• Hundreds of scholarships have been awarded since the program launched in 2017
• Scholarship applicants must be members of the US HAEA
• Visit here if you are planning to become a healthcare professional
We congratulate our scholarship recipients and wish them much success in their academic endeavors!
The Pam King HAEA Scholarship Program is available to US citizens with a confirmed HAE diagnosis (a letter from a licensed physician is required) who will be enrolled or are enrolled in an undergraduate educational institution. We also offer the scholarship to graduate and vocational students on a case-by-case basis. Your application will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, an independent adjudicatory board with no HAEA affiliation. Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of financial need, academic effort, and individual educational goals. Awards will be sent directly to the institution that the student is attending and (depending on the institution's financial aid policies) may be used for tuition, books, and room and board. Any remaining funds from semester-specific awards cannot be distributed directly to the student or carried over to the next semester. Unused funds must be returned to the HAEA.
Applications must be submitted online using the link below. All applicants will be notified by email regarding the results of the selection process. If you are awarded a scholarship, you must complete the school contact form within 30 days of being notified or your award will be forfeited. Once your form is received, payment will be provided in the form of a check made payable to the institution attended.
